My wife Leticia and I met in Paducah,
Kentucky, and was married by Pastor Robert Jarrad in her father's home. We have been married now for two years and we have
one son (Treece).
We are members of Second Christian Church in Mayfield, Kentucky. Leticia's father; Minister Dennis Gray
is our pastor. I am the Minister of music and Leticia sings lead and she directs the adult choir. We are very devoted
to God, our church and each other. We attend church regularly which includes, Sunday School, Bible Study and Sunday morning
worship. The church has been a blessing to our spiritual growth and it has taught us how to live in a society where
there are people of all types and personalities.
I had a head start on my spiritual growth because I came from a loving church going family. My grandfather
was the late Bishop Fred Harris Sr.; founder and pastor of the Apostolic Faith Church in Carbondale, Illinois. He,
his children and their friends built the church.
My grandmother was the late Mother Eliza Hollings Harris. Her official title was Church Mother, but it
did not stop there. She was a mother to all the members and everyone in our neighborhood. They were known as Grandpa and Grandma
to all the children. Bishop and Mother Harris had a love for people that I have not seen before. I was blessed
to have them as my grandparents.
